OnePlus 6T Might Be Launched in October At Only $550!
The Oneplus 6 was launched on May 22 and as expected it
brought along some premium hardware with some great software. Oneplus has its
place in the premium smartphone market for a while now and some tricks are up
their sleeve. In March, Oneplus decided that they would release two flagships every
year, One in the middle of the year that is the original Number phone
Example-3,4,5 and 6 and another at the end of the year a T variant which would
have the latest and the best specifications as Tech is progressing leaps and
bounds!
Now that Oneplus
6 is a huge hit and helped the company pave their way toward the most-selling
premium smartphone brand in India. According to a recent report by CNet, the 6T
will be launched earlier than usual as the Oneplus 5T was launched in January, with
an exclusive offer through US mobile service carrier T-Mobile. “That
includes a specific version of the OnePlus 6T optimized for T-Mobile's
network”. The 6T will be optimised to work best with T-Mobile network and will
be available in the US carrier store.
There is a
little problem in the partnership. The report says, “The only hiccup with the
US launch could come from the testing required by T-Mobile to get certification
on the network. OnePlus is still in the process of getting what’s known as
“technical approval” at the carrier, according to one person. Failure to get
the approval could cause a delay with the carrier launch.” That is all about T-Mobile
network exclusivity, but what about Global Launch? The report mentions that
there will be a global variant soon after the exclusivity ends.
And also
according to a recent report, The Oneplus 6T might also feature a teardrop
notch alike the Oppo R17 Pro as Oneplus and Oppo have same parent company. Moving
towards the pricing, The OnePlus 6T will be priced slightly steeper as
compared to what we have been seeing on the previous two T-series devices till
now. Reportedly, the smartphone’s price will go up to $550, which is a $20
increase from the OnePlus 6’s charge. For perception, $550 converts to about Rs
39,000 without all the taxes.
The company recently
also made a statement that it has high expectations form future devices and
also 5G network, which may lead to some other partnerships with Mobile carriers
in the US. If there is any other news regarding the launch of Oneplus 6T, Pixel
