Nvidia to Launch RTX 2080 Reportedly Only For $649 Next Week!
Nvidia is reportedly going to launch the next flagship
Turing-based GeForce graphics and it is supposed to be priced less expensive
than the best consumer market card-Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti that is $699. The
graphics card is our first good look at the NVIDIA Turing TU104 GPU core. The
GeForce RTX 2080 is expected to feature the TU104-400-A1 SKU which is the fully
enabled configuration that rocks 3072 cores. The chip looks to feature a
massive die which is visibly bigger than the GP104 Pascal GPU featured on the
GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card.
The PCB takes
use of a total of 8 memory expires which are scattered around the GPU core.
NVIDIA can use 8 GB or 16 GB of GDDR6 memory on this board, but that depends on
whether the higher capacity GDDR6 dies are in good supply or not. As for the
memory interface, we are looking at a 256-bit bus UI which goes with NVIDIA’s
high-end graphics configuration. The enthusiast ones are fitted with a 384-bit
bus interface like the one we saw in the previous leak.
That model was equipped
with GDDR6 memory and delivered us with our first look at a GDDR6 equipped PCB.
When it comes to pricing, the GeForce RTX 2080 is said to be priced close to
the GTX 1080 after the price cuts so we can guesstimate around $500-$600 US for
this part while the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti would follow it’s sturdy predecessor,
the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and cost close to $700-$800 US. That much is a given
based on the performance and specifications of the flagship part.
This decision
of pricing a super powerful Graphics card at such a low price is weird but at
the end of the day it is only going to benefit the users or consumers. But, RIP
to people who just bought a GTX 1080 Ti as they are now regretting their
decision of not waiting. The RTX 2080 will be launched the next week and always
remember that it is not necessary that the card should be priced the same!
There can be a minor or major difference in pricing as these are only reports
on some analysis. And you can learn about the specifications and price of the
card when it gets launched at RW Tech Blog along with other Tech News and Information.
