OnePlus Explains How Warp Charge 30 Works In A Forum Post!

OnePlus already has one of the fastest charging phones with Oneplus 6T, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 5T charge 50% in almost 30 Minutes to 20 Minutes! OnePlus recently launched the Oneplus 6T McLaren Edition which is inspired by McLaren orange accent color. Warp Charge is OnePlus’s fastest charging-technology so far as it can provide up to a day’s power by charging for just 20 minutes.
The one special quick of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is Warp Charge and a OnePlus administrator explain the Warp Charge one their official forum page. The reason behind the "30" part of the name is self-explanatory, as the charging rate is 30Watt.

Dale F, OnePlus Administrator says, “If you’re a fan of space movies, you can see why we chose this name to describe our ridiculously fast charging technology. Once those pilots punch the warp speed button, the universe flashes by in a blur.” This is what he said explaining the reason about “Warp”.

Explaining how Warp 30 works he adds, “Warp Charge 30 can carry a larger current than regular fast charging solutions. Normally, the heat generated through charging is dissipated in the phone itself. By shifting the majority of the power management and heat dispersion to the Warp Charge 30 Adapter, however, very little heat ever reaches the phone.”

He also claims that charging speeds while gaming and other performance-oriented tasks excel compared to other charging solutions. This usually causes performance issues if the phone is being used while it’s being charged, leading to CPU and GPU speeds being throttled.
He also states that the Warp Charge 30 in comparison against Adaptive Fast Charge of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and USB PD of the Google Pixel 3 XL. OnePlus also has to make changes to the battery assembly for safety measures to support the additional increase in power while complying with an 8-layer protection board to the battery to provide more efficient cooling.
