Huawei’s First Phone with an In-Screen Camera Teased- The View 20!

The first phone with an in-display camera, the Samsung Galaxy A8s star will be launched today. The second device is said to be a Huawei phone, firstly it was speculated to be Nova 4 but now is said to be View 20.

Huawei didn’t want to be second so, Huawei held the official introduction of Honor View 20 - its first phone with an in-screen camera. The device will not be globally available but the official launch will be on December 26 in China as V20 and in Paris on January 22 as said by earlier reports.

Huawei is calling the in-display camera, Full-View Display 3.0, with the device featuring a 4.5 mm cut-out for the camera. The handset will be powered by a Kirin 980 SoC and is the first to deploy a 48 MP camera Sony IMX586 sensor. The device will have a single 12MP shooter.

The Sony IMX586 CMOS is on a massive 1/2-inch sensor (0.8 µm/pixel) and has the Quad Bayer colour array, stacking adjacent 2x2 pixels in the same colour. The device showcased at the Huawei event was a pre-production model hiding the design of the phone.

The new 48-MegaPixel Sony IMX586 CMOS sensor most definitely will be a great deal as Huawei using just a sole camera instead of dual- or triple-cam solutions like other flagships. To know what happens next in the Tech World, Visit RW Tech Blog.
