Samsung Galaxy A8s Officially Launched With Infinity-O Display & Snapdragon 710!

Samsung Galaxy A8s was officially launched today as world’s first phone with an Infinity-O display or to simply put it, a hole in the middle of screen and beat Huawei as the View 20 was second in-line.
The hole for camera isn’t in the top-centre of the screen but at the top-left corner of the display. The hole is residence for a 24MP with f/2.0 aperture as a selfie-shooter and is 6.7mm wide. The hole lives on a 6.4” diagonal screen with a tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2340 resolution but Samsung doesn’t mention a AMOLED or LCD display.

Under the display is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB Storage and Micro-SD card with 512GB of expandability. The device is powered by a 3,400 mAh battery with an Adaptive Fast Charging brick in the box and charge over USB-C. Although, it looks like the initial rumours about BOE manufacturing the LCD screens might be true.
On the flip side, we find a triple-camera setup that consists of a 24MP main sensor with a large f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 opening. The third one is used only for depth sensing and it's 5MP with f/2.2 aperture. The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Samsung's UI on top.

The device is available in three colours Blue, Grey and Green - all appear to be gradient colours. The devices can be pre-ordered until December 21 in China and there is no official word on the shipping dates. The price of the device is not available yet but lies under upper-mid-range segment.
