Honor Magic 2 Live Images & Specifications Appear Online!
Honor Magic 2
was teased by Honor quite a bit officially on their official handles but is
still shrouded in quite a bit of mystery, in the absence of any detailed specs
leaks but recently got a TENAA listing. There have not been any leaks of the
device that is to say any noticeable ones! On the contrary, Honor themselves
made it abundantly clear that it intends to mount an online "Viral
Marketing" campaign for the handset to the best of its abilities.
Luckily, live images appeared on Zanilia Zhao’s Weibo profile - she was
gifted a mesmerizing red Honor Magic 2 and now we know how the phone will look
like. From the images it seems like the Honor Magic 2 here has borrowed its
camera setup from the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The dual sensor is 16 MP + 24 MP, and
the third one is also 16 MP. It will likely also copy the purpose of the
cameras too - a regular sensor, a B/W cam and a telephoto lens.
The Honor Magic 2 is supposed to come out with a 6.4” AMOLED display
with a FHD+ resolution with closer to 100% screen-to-body ratio and a 3400 mAh battery
with a 40W charger that leaked in September to juice it all! The Honor phone
will feature a Kirin 980 chipset clocked at 2.6GHz combined with 8GB of RAM and
128GB of on-board storage.
The Magic 2 does not appear to have any in-display or rear fingerprint which
also creates a great transition for the whole display will slide down and will
reveal a 16 MP front-facing camera and two TOF lenses for 3D Face Unlock. The
Magic 2 like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro will run EMUI 9.0, which is Huawei’s custom
Android skin on top of Android Pie.
The last unknowns will be revealed at the official launch, scheduled for
October 31. The images
and the post of Zanilia Zhao reveal Honor will introduce its own AI assistant
called Yoyo. According to the actress, it will also have witty responses to
trivial questions such as “Who is prettier - me or you?” To know what happens next in the Tech
