Panasonic Announces 4K OLED TV with Dolby Vision, Atmos & HDR10+ Support at CES 2019!
When you think of Cinematic TVs do you really think of Panasonic? Well, if you didn’t you should now, as Panasonic at its stage at CES 2019 announced its latest flagship GZ2000 4K OLED TV that is regarded as perfectly color tuned by colorist Stefan Sonnenfeld.
Stefan says so as the TV utilizes a “professional edition” panel that's been tuned to perfection in Hollywood by the man himself, Stefan Sonnenfeld. The GZ2000 4K OLED TV has support for both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atoms alongside HDR10+ which is supported by Samsung, which according to Panasonic is one of its finest features. The TV features upward-firing Dolby Atmos speakers built directly into the TV and the audio was tuned by Panasonic’s Technics division.
Panasonic also makes certain unique mirrorless cameras which use HLG photo which is also supported by this 4K TV for displaying HDR color gamut in images. Panasonic says that all of these features in one pack set the GZ2000 4K OLED TV apart from any other. What’s not unprecedented is the TVs support for both Alexa and Google Assistant. As for software, Panasonic says “My Home Screen 4.0, which allows viewers to tailor the TV user interface to their own preferences with more freedom and flexibility.”
Panasonic also says that the layout of My Home Screen 4.0 can be tuned for the user. Panasonic hasn’t put a price tag on the TV yet neither has it announced any release date, but its OLED screen and claims of professional calibration suggest it won’t be a budget set once it eventually ships.
