OnePlus 6T Confirmed To Launch With An In-Display Fingerprint Scanner!
Last week, the retail box or container of the OnePlus 6T was leaked in all of its forms and the design of the device was clearly visualized in the box! The device had a teardrop (Water drop) Notch along with an In-Display Fingerprint scanner! The device is going to be launched earlier this year than it has been previously. There are already many concepts out there regarding OnePlus 6T with a Notch, In-display Fingerprint Scanner, or even a Sliding-camera mechanism!
According to CNET, “We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action. By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them.” The company is also reported going to call this tech “Screen Unlock”
There is also a possibility of T-Mobile selling the OnePlus 6T in the United States, making the 6T the first OnePlus phone to be sold by a major carrier. Adding all the necessary components have resulted in the 6T being .45mm thicker than the OnePlus 6, according to CNET’s report. We already have a phone from Vivo and Oppo using In-Display fingerprint scanner from Synaptic which work good enough!
If you are still not settled with the speed of the In-display fingerprint scanner, you also have OnePlus’s Face Unlock which is pretty fast! Apparently, OnePlus was hoping to include in-display fingerprint scanning on the OnePlus 5T. But “The technology wasn’t mature enough” to provide a good user experience, the company told CNET.
