Android Pie Update Confirmed For All Nokia Smartphone By HMD Global!

    Google released the final stable build of Android 9.0 Pie for Pixel released and Essential phone. The ROM is also available to be flashed on various famous smartphones and seems to be working fine without any hiccups. But, Nokia (HMD Global) has confirmed that all the Nokia Android running smartphones will receive the Android Pie update. That is one hell of a claim, but it makes sense that many of Nokia’s phones are Android One phones and should receive the updates sooner.  

    Meanwhile there has not been an official date announcement from HMD Global. Which basically means that phones can get updates ranging from within a month to within a year. The smartphones which are entitled to receive the Android P update by HMD Global include Nokia 3, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 6, Nokia 6.1, 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7, 7 Plus, Nokia 8, 8 Sirocco, Nokia X6, and Nokia X5, Nokia 1, Nokia 2, and Nokia 2.1 (Android Go).

    Nokia 7 plus should be the first one to receive the stable update as it was one of the devices which received the Previews of the ROM. You can also expect Nokia 8, Nokia 8 sirocco and Nokia 6 as they were in the Android One program. If you don’t know what Android One Program is, you can know more about it here. But, you can’t really guarantee that as Android One phones like Mi A1 received Android 8 update pretty late.
