Samsung Galaxy M Series Confirmed to Debut in India on 28th January
Samsung in their quest to beat Xiaomi, more precisely Redmi at Budget smartphone segment as Samsung’s sales in that department has sunk pretty low. The new Galaxy M series by Samsung targeted at 'young millennials' and feature 'powerful' displays, cameras, batteries, and processors in mid-range and budget segment is now confirmed to launch on 28th of January by Samsung on Amazon India and the Samsung Online Shop and will be available on either platform.
Samsung plans to launch the budget Galaxy M smartphone series in India ahead of a global release, aiming to regain ground ceded to Chinese rivals such as Xiaomi in the world's second-biggest mobile phone market, said Samsung in an interview with Reuters over the weekend.
Samsung also reinforces the fact that there will be three M series phones, which will be Amazon India and the Samsung Online Shop exclusive, which Samsung claims will double online sales as per the head of Samsung's Indian mobile business told Reuters.
Asim Warsi said, The India-made phones, priced from less than Rs. 10,000 ($141.80) up to Rs. 20,000, will carry chunkier batteries and features such as quick charging. These new phones could series help Samsung if sold offline as they also have 250,000 retail outlets and more than 2,000 exclusive stores, with support offered by 2,000 service centers and smartphone companies still have 350 Million potential subscribers who don’t have a smartphone in India.
