Laptop with Reverse Notch & Slimmest Bezels at CES 2019- Asus ZenBook S13!
It’s just been one day since CES 2019 begun and we are seeing unconventional products like Asus’s Mothership gaming laptop or just low-key Chromebook by HP and Acer. Now, we have Asus back at it with another obscure product so to speak with features we wanted for a long time.

The Asus ZenBook S13 is a thin and light notebook with world smallest bezels and a reverse notch. The last device with ultra-thin bezels was the Huawei MateBook X Pro or the Dell XPS 13 before that which put webcams in weird places but the ZenBook S13 utilizes the notch to keep the camera in the original spot but trim the bezels. Asus claims that the Screen-to-body ratio is 97% with side bezels being just 2.5mm.
For the internals, we have an 8th generation Intel Core it processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe SSD storage with an Nvidia GeForce MX 150 GPU inside for help with graphics all crammed in a super slim package although the MateBook X Pro also has nearly same specs with identical MX150 GPU. There is also a fingerprint scanner in trackpad with Windows Hello support. Connectivity wise you have the usual USB-C ports a single USB-A port and a slot for reading microSD cards.
Asus hasn’t talked about the pricing or availability of the device but Asus has plans to launch the ZenBook S13 in Q1 this year at least in the US. If you are planning to buy the device for any reason expect it to cost you a couple thousand bucks as the MateBook X Pro costs around 2,000 USD or 2,07,000 INR.
