Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition Debuts With Two AMOLED Displays & Three Cameras!

The original Vivo NEX brought pop-up cameras into mainstream phones and focused heavily on Screen-to-body ratios. And now Vivo is back at it again but with the latest phone - the NEX Dual Display Edition - is pretty self-explanatory.
The Vivo NEX DDE (Dual Display Edition) has a 6.39-Inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio and according to Vivo, now has 91.63% Screen-To-Body ratio. The rear also has a Super AMOLED 5.49” display with 1080 x 1920 resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio.

Both of these displays are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip paired with 10GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device is powered by a low-key 3,500 mAh battery and supports fast charging at 10V/2.25A. The device runs Android 9.0 on top of Vivo’s Fun Touch OS 4.5 and uses an in-display fingerprint scanner.
If you are a selfie hog, this is the best phone for you but has no front-facing camera. The main one is 12MP with OIS and f/1.79 aperture lens while the secondary is just 2MP with f/1.8, which is probably used only for depth sensing. The third camera is a Time of Flight type (ToF) and its primary use is for distance measurement and for advanced face unlock.

Vivo is proud of the capabilities of their cameras- “From AI scene recognition to Body and Face Shaping. There's a lot to play around with.” Claims Vivo. The vivo NEX Dual Display Edition is already up for pre-order in China with December 29 being the release date. However, pre-orders outside of China will begin soon. The price tag of the handset is CNY 4,998 ($720). To know what happens next in the Tech World, Visit RW Tech Blog.
