Xiaomi Sets Guinness World Record with Opening 500 Mi Stores In Rural India At Once!

    Xiaomi has been India’s No 1. Selling Smartphone brand for 5 consecutive quarters and that is only with its grip in an online store like Mi.com, Flipkart, and Amazon. Xiaomi today announced it has opened a record 500 retail stores in rural parts of India, after teasing the announcement yesterday.

    Called Mi Stores, Xiaomi opened all of these simultaneously on October 29, thus setting a new record. Mi stores already existed in India at selected Malls and cities including major ones like Thane, Bengaluru, and others!

    Xiaomi has always been criticized for its bad services but that might just get better! Xiaomi is trying to play safe against others like OnePlus experience centers, Motorola, and Honor! The company plans to expand offline sales and create over 15,000 jobs in the process.

    Xiaomi Global VP, added, “The Company created a Guinness record for opening the maximum number of stores in one single day. Xiaomi plans to open 5,000 Mi Stores by the end of 2019 that will create nearly 15,000 jobs”

    It’s important to note that Xiaomi is just an Eight years old or young company against big dogs like Apple and Samsung. The average area of Mi stores is spread across larger spaces in bigger cities, Mi Stores have an average size of 300 sq. ft. and will be located in rural India and will showcase Xiaomi's entire product range across smartphones, televisions and ecosystem products.
