LG Patents A Phone With 16 Rear Cameras!

LG is not the most-selling or best phone manufacturer but is now looking ambitious with a patent for 16 rear cameras. When it comes to the camera you think of Pixel, Galaxy, iPhone, Huawei, and Nokia recently with its Nokia 9. Now you can also think about LG as it is also camera-focused with LG V40 and now a new patent.

New reports have shown that LG has plans to also claim the title and set the bar so high up, it will be pretty difficult for any other manufacturer to beat it. Last week, precisely November 20, LG was granted the patent for a phone with sixteen rear cameras!

The patent was granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The images in the patent show the cameras are arranged in a 4×4 grid. The 16 cameras can also be used to take selfie photos as the patent says the mobile phone can have a sort of “mirror” integrated on the back or even a secondary display.

The patent also mentions that the handset may have a touchpad like back, not nearly as close as the Nubia X with a whole LCD display on the back! Although the touchpad idea seems ingenious it’s not as Doogee released some smartphones with a touchpad on the back that you can use to control the phone.
