Expect Samsung Galaxy S10 to be Completely Bezel-less!

Samsung- The only company that has not gave into the whole “notch all over the place” is very proud about their phones not having notch and even gone as far as to reply to Google Pixel 3XL Q and A with their official account and make fun of its notch! Samsung, as per a report by GSMArena, held a press conference on 18 October in Shenzhen China called the '2018 OLED Forum'.

In this meeting, Samsung display had a PPT upon the wall with clear mentions of technologies which were concerned with FoD, meaning Fingerprint on Display, UPS- meaning Under Panel Sensors, HoD- touch Sensitive display, and SoD- meaning Screen sound display. For the newbies, SoD Screen Sound Display is a tech which sounds similar to Piezoelectric speaker which vibrates the display to produce sound already in use on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.

FoD which means In-display fingerprint scanner like we have seen in Oppo and Vivo phones which was made by Synaptic and now Samsung is trying to make one of their own. UPS- is the new one which really needs some innovation and is going to lead us to the eventual bezel less future. Just because Samsung made fun of the Pixel's notch doesn't necessarily mean that the S10 won't have a notch.

A few of the people at the event got to use a prototype of the devices with all of these technologies but it was only a prototype which probably cost them a couple of 1000$s to make. Only a few prototypes have been tested with this technology and it is believed that it will not be used on any kind of commercial smartphone until 2020.
