Lenovo Z5 Specifications and More! Did Lenovo Just Fool Us Or A Great Deal?
Lenovo has been teasing its new smartphone, the Lenovo Z5
without shying away. But, it has been finally launched today and will be available
to consumers on 12th June. We recently made an article on what the
company had advertised about the Z5, you can read it by clicking here. All of
us thought that Lenovo might be making a great comeback with its flagship which
was also predicted to be the first completely Bezel-less smartphone. Each and
every tech enthusiast was into this phone and was really sanguine to know that
Lenovo had manufactured something amazing! Read this article till the end to
know the truth.
Let’s talk about

The Specifications sound pretty good right? Sure, these specs
will please anyone at the mere price of CNY
1,399 which round up to 218 USD
and 14,700 INR for base variant, which
is pretty good considering some of the other options in the market. But, this
is surely not what Lenovo was advertising and possibly nowhere near it. Lenovo
had shown us photos of Completely Bezel-less phone. The Lenovo Z5 is Bezel-less
up to a certain extent as it houses a notch in its display and has a little bit
of chin like many other Android phones. Sure that is still great yet we only
get 95 to 96% screen and not all
screen. Let’s leave that apart they said that the phone will have a battery which
will provide a stand-By time of 45 Days. Well, we aren’t sure about that as a phone
with 636 processor and 3300mAh battery might not be able to do that but is
better than many options for sure. The phone is pretty great overall but many
of the teasers such as 4TB storage are left untouched.
The Lenovo Z5 is a
bang for the buck at the end of the day and is great at its price range and
what it offers. It has a vertically aligned dual rear camera with AI capabilities
and can give you Bokeh or Portrait
effect. The Snapdragon 636 SoC is a
great octa-core processor by Qualcomm and is ample for most of the part.
Lenovo did not skip on any sensor in this phone as it packs accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope,
Fingerprint Sensor, and Proximity Sensor, if you are not familiar with any
of these sensors click here. The Lenovo Z5 has a colour-shifting aluminium back
in three colours- Black, Aurora, and
blue. It has all the features of a mid-range smartphone and has a USB-C for
data transfer and charging. Yes, finally we are seeing USB-C in Mid-Range smartphones.
The Lenovo Z5 is a
solid deal at the end of the day, what is offsetting about this phone is its
marketing. We would have liked it much more if Lenovo had just told the real
specs. But, it’s of course how you get the attention and launch a great product
and a part of business. Comment below your opinion on this marketing strategy
of Lenovo and whether if you think it’s good or necessary. Well that was our take on the newly launched
Lenovo Z5 which will go up for sale at 10 A.M. on June 12th in China.
